SoccerBalls Project
El Instituto IES de Sar (Santiago de Compostela) recibe una propuesta de participación en la actividad «Math and Arts» realizada por el centro escolar finlandés Laukaa. Se hizo llegar por correo el material necesario para llevar a cabo la actividad. Además el coordinador finlandés envió preguntas y comentarios relativos al trabajo.
En colaboración con el Departamento de Matemáticas del centro se realizó la actividad siguiendo las instrucciones que figuraban en el «kit» de trabajo recibido, e hicimos un breve estudio del artículo en inglés (Soccer Ball Symmetry) que desde la colaboración finlandesa se sugería y de otro artículo en español (Matemáaticas, papiroflexia y balones de fútbol).
El fin didáctico de la actividad se concreta en los siguientes tres objetivos:
1) Establecer una acción de colaboración con un centro perteneciente al Proyecto KIKS . Durante su realización en el aula se consideraron algunas de las indicaciones del coordinador finlandés.
2) Se utilizó esta actividad para trabajar en inglés, fundamentalmente en la lectura de textos.
3) Se introdujo una acción multidisciplinar al estar presente en la actividad contenidos de Física, Matemáticas, Inglés y Artes.
Los estudiantes del IES de Sar en respuesta a la propuesta de trabajo del Colegio Laukaa han realizado el siguiente trabajo:

SoccerBalls Project
The Sar School (Santiago de Compostela) receives a proposal to participate in the «Math and Arts» activity carried out by the Finnish school Laukaa. The material needed to carry out the activity was sent by mail. In addition, the Finnish coordinator sent questions and comments concerning the work.
In collaboration with the Department of Mathematics of the Sar School the activity was carried out following the instructions included in the work kit received, and we did a brief study of the article in English (Soccer Ball Symmetry) that from the Finnish collaboration was suggested and another article in Spanish (Mathematics, papiroflexia and soccer balls).
The didactic purpose of the activity is concretized in the following three objectives:
1) Establish a collaborative action with a School from other country belonging to the KIKS Project. Some of the indications of the Finnish coordinator were considered during the course.
2) This activity was used to work in English, mainly in reading texts.
3) A multidisciplinary action was introduced to be present in the activity contents of Physics, Mathematics, English and Arts.
